When she had awoken, the world was a bright place. A light place. Trees swayed in the slight breeze, and ocean water lapped at the edges of the beach that spread out in front of her. She was farther from the water than the other forms of dogs she could groggily spot on the horizon- oddly far. Curled in some of the sparse beach grass that grew a little past the flatter beach land, she had twitched and whined herself awake only to find her black form settled comfortably in a nook of shade. There had been scuffed lines leading from a lower spot in the beach, as if she had awoken for mere moments and decided to drag herself up and out of the scalding sun. It had taken her a few minutes to push herself to her feet, and the entire task had been painstakingly slow. Once she had accomplished it, however, the small canine had turned away from the cool, inviting water, and had headed into the interior of the odd island. She had been intent on finding freshwater to quench her parched throat, rather than other canines like she might normally have, and had followed her sensitive nose up through thick jungle land.
She had been amazed at the variety of plant life- she had never been in such wild land, after all- and had stopped several times along the way to shove her nose into plant after plant. Finally she had discovered a small running brook to lap from, and, having satisfied her more immediate needs, had taken to exploring the overgrown land. The thick foliage had been exciting to navigate- for truly, she had no clue where she was, and she never knew when she would pop out on the beach, or when the next turn would simply take her into more jungle- and she made mental pathways to wind her back to the drinking water. That had been the day before, and she had spent the night on the edge of the brook, comfortably lying on her back and gazing at the snips of stars she could see through the branches.
Upon waking up on her second morning on the island, the canine had uncovered an odd area only a while from the water. It was a thick pathway of vines woven naturally over each other, and the curling tendrils draped around and snaked up from the ground through the treetops like an organic roadway. Curious, Kerosene had leaped up on one of the structures and followed it to the top- only to slip and trip from a great height. She had feared for her life for mere moments before a netting of the same vine-like tendrils caught her before hitting the ground. Amused and excited by the whole event, she had been leaping from path to path since dawn, and now, as the mid-day sun shone through the leaves in the canopy, she was resting comfortably high up in the foliage.
She enjoyed this place- the rush of falling was enough to send her into a state of uncaring, blissful, tongue-lolling glee. She had even been possessive enough to set out tentative markings around the area, by way of scratchings in the dirt... amid other things. Though she knew claiming such a place was beyond her- after all, a larger dog could easily snatch the area from her- she had greedily marked it out. She had explored the treetops- they were hers. Let someone try and take them! Why... why she would.... Before working herself up, the little dog simply let out a slight giggle. As if anyone could find the base paths. They were a bit difficult to spot from the ground, mixed in with all the trees..... so.... It was her secret? Hers?.... Hers? Hers! The concept was new and fascinating to the mudi dog, who kicked her hind paws in the air with bliss. Out of the pound and into the treetops. Interesting.
From below she could hear the sound of something- or, perhaps, somethings making their way through the foliage. Falling silent, Kerosene leaned her head over the chord of vines to stare down at whatever was coming. Bold under the cover of the tree, she stared unblinkingly at the ground. Who was it? What was it?

She was perfectly content falling asleep at the very edge of the jungle. Letting the darkness bathe her and the twinkling stars be her beautiful portrait above her as her dreams took flight. Her body relaxed and her mind was set at ease. Slowly Kheeta felt herself slip into a relaxing slumber. And that was the first sleep the Cambodian Razorback ever had on this mysterious island. Yet even so her conscious knew she was here, when she awoke the seriousness of everything somewhat set in. And the surprise and awe that is wasn't some twisted dream finally took effect. She got up and looked around. After her very.. interesting time on the beach the day before, she had yet to fully explore the island. As well as the fact she was quite thirsty. She shook her coat, sending beads of sand to mingle with the millions of shell particles, dirt, and other substances that made up the beach's sands. Gathering herself and compressing herself enough to get up and do something, she walked along the jungle, looking at the vast array of trees and other leafy plants. Soon she came upon a slight opening that almost looked as if it had been used by others. She stuck her head in and the rest of her sleek body followed. Once she was inside, it was another universe. She sniffed the ground, and a certain scent seemed obnoxiously blunt and obvious, yet she did not know what or who it belonged to. As she further pushed herself in, she noticed how thick the vines and trees were, it seemed crowded and almost scary. Yet she was not scared one bit. She was Kheeta for gods sake. Her way of life and thoughts in general were different than most. And some found her unique, yet others made there own opinion about her. In all truth she was a rebel. She loved to go against the popular belief, or rules. And here, she was full fledge showing it. She puffed her chest out, yet no one was here to see her swelled ego. She narrowed her pretty black eyes and that's when on a random feeling she looked up. And when she did, she let out a small gasp. For what she saw, up there.. well it was foreign and weird to her. Vines upon vines somehow wrapped amongst each other, almost to create these platforms that went higher and higher, snugged right against trees. It would have been practically invisible to one, unless they looked up. The ground, which Kheeta was on, seemed nonexistent and almost boring compared too.. up there. She kept looking up, her black maw pointed straight up in the air. She circled a tree and let her nose smell that scent that was ever so present throughout this area. Yet, unknown to Kheeta was that there was a canine up there, only a few feet away from where she plant her hind legs and bum down onto the ground. She looked around. She did not have the will or energy at the moment to climb and explore up there so for now.. "Hello?" She called. If someone owned this place, they would have to come to her. She reached her neck back and licked at her beautiful ridge. Almost similar to a goose or duck, preening it's feathers. ---------- ooc; Hope I described the place how you meant ^^;

She saw the dog as it pushed its way through the foliage, and watched its sandy-colored form move through the bushes. The canine seemed to be alone, as she couldn't spot any other forms with it, and it moved with confidence, as if the creature itself was simply as curious about the island as she, and not scared of the closeness of the trees and the dank smell of the humid earth. She saw it glance up, and her ears strained to catch the gasp the other dog emitted as she spotted the platforms. Before the fellow canines eyes caught her shape on the vines, however, Kerosene pulled back, inching away from the edge and flattening herself atop her chord of vines. She leaned over the other side, sure that she had avoided the others vision, and stared down at the creature who had wandered in as far as she had.
The canine below had a ridge down its back- a thick brush-up of fur that, even from where Kerosene lay, looked mightily impressive. Kero had seen few dogs with a ridge like that- oh, there may have been a mix or two at the pound with half the length of what this dog below preened- but it was nothing special on them, merely a lump across their spines. She had often wished for a ridge herself, though very secretly, to help her appear a bit bigger, and perhaps a tad more impressive. Blinking thoughtfully, the little Mudi dog glanced back down. Yes. No one would mess with her if she had such a spine decoration.... and with that, the small canine slid down one of the pathways and dropped to the ground in front of the other dog.
"Hiya!" She exclaimed, and paused for a moments breath before continuing. "Your ridge is very impressive. Do other dogs ever try and mess with you when you walk around with that?" She promptly turned her back on the other dog, and twisted her head back over her shoulder to glance sadly at her spine. The only thing in sight was her curly, scallop-like monochromatic fur... not a ridge or even the beginnings of one marked her back. "I don't have a ridge, but I wish I did." Her voice sounded genuinely sad, as if truly the concept of having such a brush of ridged fur would make a difference in her life. The little dog continued on in a quieter voice, however, the same sad twinge still tickling at her throat. "Though I don't have a tail either, so...." And with that she wiggled her hindquarters, showing the lack of tail. Much like an Australian shepherd- dogs she had seen before- she had a simple padding of thick fur, without bones or a tail structure at all. A small tuft of what perhaps would have been a tail graced the area- but it was nothing but that, a tuft of fur, with only a minuscule bone or two, and certainly not enough to wag the stubby appendage, which was truly a loss. Without a tail to wag, she had to resort to other methods to portray to other dogs that she was happy as can be.
Settling herself onto the ground, the small dog comfortably readjusted herself and stared at the other canine. She was looking at her with great interest, as if awaiting a reply and trying to see into the other creature at the same time. Tongue lolling, and panting a little bit in the warmth of the filtered sun, Kerosene opened her mouth once more. "So, what's your name?" she asked, genuinely curious. Unlike most canines, she didn't offer up her own first, having blindly skipped over the fact that she ought to in the excitement of meeting her first fellow canine on this interesting island.

Out of practically no where, a small canine dropped down from a pathway of vines. If Kheeta would have been most any dog, it would have scared the living hell out of her. But for Kheeta it merely made her curiosity at it's highest peek. The little dog looked like.. a Mudi. Kheeta had never met one, but once recalled her kennel owner ripping up a newspaper for the puppies kennel and eyeing almost the exact picture with the word "Mudi" as what stood before her. The dog was small, and smelled of female. Speaking of scent.. it was her scent that littered this entire area. How funny it was, this small creature tried to "own" this place! Kheeta cocked her head at the overly hyper canine, as it spoke. ""Hiya!" And the small female paused. "Your ridge is very impressive. Do other dogs ever try and mess with you when you walk around with that?" And then this very odd thing turned around to show Kheeta her own, ridge-less back. Looking back with a strong twinge of utter despair in her voice, she said "I don't have a ridge, but I wish I did." Kheeta continued watching this.. thing. As words effortlessly flowed from it's small muzzle. It's voice got somewhat quiter, as it spoke once more. "Though I don't have a tail either, so...." And then wiggled her hind quarters. No apparent tail there. Much less than Kheeta's curly Q of one. It made her feel superior to this small female chatterbox. As the female made herself comfortable, Kheeta took the opportunity of silence too finally reply to this canine. "Wow. You talk.. alot. Im the most prized Cambodian Ridgeback back in my kennel. I was bred purely for my beautiful ridge and my mask." Leaving it at that, she watched the other fea's maw opened once more. "So, what's your name?" Kheeta pulled herself down to lay, facing the other dog. She let out a yawn, and then replied. "My name is Kheeta. And yours? Are you a Mudi?" She cocked her head slightly. Mixed feelings bubbling inside her. ---------- ooc; Hmm.

"Wow. You talk.. alot." Her ears drooped slightly, as if in embarrassed confirmation of this fact. She knew she talked a lot- but words... words just came so easily to her! She tried to keep what she spouted out relevant, but she couldn't always filter down her words and limit them to just one topic. That was absolutely no fun! What good was a conversation on plants if one could not mention the surrounding area, and all the contributing factors to the plants health as well? To her, her abundance of words were completely necessary. Even if they were annoying. Her ears perked up again, however, as the other female explained what she was. "Whoah, so you're special!" There was not a trace of sarcasm in her voice as she said it, and not a glimmer of mischief in her brown eyes, either. She was completely serious, if not a bit blunt, in what she said. "I have met some of your kind, but never a full-blooded one. Only mixes- and they just look like normal old dogs. No mask, and barely a brush of a ridge." She said thoughtfully, cocking her head to once more glance at the other dog. Nope. Those pound dogs had nothing like this kennel-bred creature on them. At best, they merely had similar coloration, or muscle tone. But not the whole overall effect, nope.
The other dog spoke again, and Kero had almost missed it in her silent train of thought. She had snapped out of her own mind long enough, however, to catch the other canines words, and to watch her lay down on the ground and let out a yawn. It was almost enough to make Kerosene herself sleepy- but not quite. She could run for a while yet. In fact, she could probably continue on like this for days... and days... and days. Probably. Maybe. If she drank a bunch and ate, and played around in the treetops at all hours to distract herself of the time of day. Man. That would be fun. She should really try that! ....Oh, what had she been doing...? Oh, yes- a reply!
"Nice to meet you, Kheeta! I'm Kerosene," And again, another slight pause. Even someone such as her- who could talk a mile a minute- had to stop for breath at some point. "Yes I am a Mudi!" Her little chest swelled with pride and she sat up a little straighter, as if happy the other dog had recognized her breed. There weren't many of them, and what few there were resided in Hungary... this dog- no, Kheeta- must be particularly smart, to know of her breed, and Kerosene's adoring eyes looked at her with a new light. "I mean, I'm not the most prized or anything, but... I'm... merle colored, so..." And she trailed off, as if trying to find something special about herself that she could bring to the table. Besides the scarcity of breed and her unique coloration, she had nothing, so the little canine shrugged off of that line of speech, and settled into a new one. "So why are you out here in the jungle? Why didn't you stay on the beach with the others? The sleeping ones?" She was curious if this other dogs curiosity, much like her own, had gotten the best of her and lead her inland. That would have been interesting- and cool- if they had had a similar train of thought. Finally, silence overcame the small dog as she continued rambling on an on in her mind, awaiting a reply from her fellow canine and simultaneously trying to guess at what she might say.
ooc; Oh, Kerooo~ What a bother you are to perfectly sane dogs. xD

It was hard to keep up with this little canine full of words. She could talk forever if she was given the chance. Kheeta's head felt on the verge of a headache by the time the small thing was done telling her about other canines that were kind of like Kheeta, and about her name. Honestly, Kheeta didn't really care. Though she felt like she might as well make an ally here on the island, in case need be. So she decided, that for now, she would attempt to be nice. Attempt. After the one called Kerosene finally shut her trap, only after a few moments did Kheeta finally respond. "I figured there must be more than just a beach out here, so I decided to venture into this jungle. Only to find I ran into you." Despite how crude that sounded, her tone was actually warm and a half-hearted smile lay on Kheeta's maw. Besides the talking problem, this little Mudi didn't seem to bad. Friendly. Nice. But.. too nice? Kheeta looked up once more, at the weird vine-y platform things that etched some sort of rooftop above them. Having the sudden rebel urge kick in- that often controlled Kheeta's life, she heard her voice excitidly asking Kerosene about showing her how to climb upon them. "How do you go up there? Could you show me?" If Kerosene was the kind of dog she appeared to be, Kheeta would have no problem getting her to be some sort of companion. Maybe even a friend if Kheeta could get past all the words that effortlessly flowed through Kero's mouth. Whether it was because Kheeta had the strange feeling there could quite possibly be packs forming once everyone settled in.. or because she truly wanted a friend, it was unclear now. Time would tell whether Kerosene would or could become a valuable asset to Kheeta. Kheeta smiled that rebel smile that back home she was known for. "Kerosene. Let's explore." And with a sly grin plastered on a friendly face. Kheeta was ready to play.---------- ooc; Pfff Kheeta's being a bitch to poor Kerosene. She just doesn't know it yet D:

"I figured there must be more than just a beach out here, so I decided to venture into this jungle. Only to find I ran into you." If her tone hadn't sounded pleasant, and if there hadn't been the tiniest of smiles on the other females face, Kero might have been wary. The way it was phrased made her out to be some sort of bug, or unpleasant beast that was undesirable to run into. She shook off any thought of that, however, after mere moments of pondering it. No. Kheeta seemed nice. She was probably just misinterpreting.
"Ran into me. Oh." And the little dog nodded a bit, as if that whole sentence should have registered in the first place. As if it was obvious- sort of how it sounded from the mouth of the other canine. She scuffed her paws in the dirt for a moment before piping up with another question. "But... you didn't even wander the beach first? I mean, there were other dogs there...." It was truly irrelevant, but Kerosene wanted to keep the conversation going for just a little while longer. It was the first time she had spoken to another dog since.... well, since she had woken up on the sandy shores of this mysterious island, at least. Why not try and wring out all the basic questions while she had the time?
"How do you go up there? Could you show me?" Ten little words that had the equally little dog pinning her ears back on her head in a nervously upset way. HER secret? HER treetop paradise? This dog- though admittedly she seemed pretty nice so far- wanted her to REVEAL HER SECRET? Well. Kheeta might be alright, but that didn't mean she had to know her precious secret! ....did it? Inching back a little, the mudi dog seemed to, for once, be at a loss for a reply. "Well... um.. uh... well... you see... Uh.. the trees...." She couldn't seem to spit out a sentence- unusual for her. Surely the other dog would notice her hesitation? And Kheeta was so much bigger than she... and taller... Kero scrambled back an inch more, even though there was no provocation for her to scoot in the opposite direction. Kheeta hadn't said anything mean or suspicious... she was just curious. About the trees. About the vines. About HER trees and vines... /I mean, I scratched the surrounding area and everything~/ her inner voice murmured. /Do dogs usually share this sort of thing? The streets.. the pound... if you found it, it was yours. Unless.../ And a sidelong glance passed back to the other female canine. /Unless someone bigger took it from you./ Kero was getting a tad worked up as that point came dashing back through her mind once more. Bigger. Taller. She was so small in comparison... But she didn't want to upset this new dog. This new friend. Hmm. What to do?
"Kerosene. Let's explore." She wanted to, as soon as the other dog said it. She wanted to race back up and leap back down and let her tongue roll out and her adrenaline pump. But... her trees! Her secret! The little merle dog gave a slight whine- a sound halfway between excitement and hesitance. Oh. Screw it. She was scrappy- she spent years on the streets! She may be smaller, but she could certainly take Kheeta on if the other dog wanted to take away her place. Maybe. Possibly. No, surely! She could at least survive. Or run. She knew the pathways well- she had been up there all morning! "Alright..." She finally murmured, turning her back on the other dog and scampering through what seemed to be another clump of foliage, only to come up, moments later, atop one of the lower-lying platforms. "This way! There are nets over here! You can jump into them- it's really a rush!"
OOC: Heehee. Kero is all 'MY PRECCCIOOUUSS TREEEEESSS. D8< SHE WANNTTTSSSSS MY PRECIOUUSSSSSS.' xD
Plus, she'll probably never realize Kheeta is doing anything on purpose. She's just all 'friend friend friend~ C:'

She asked whether she had wandered the beach, and Kheeta sneezed. She must have inhaled too much jungle smell or something. She shook her head slightly and then answered, "Yeah I explored around the first day and some today. I actually met this really nice male.." She let the sentence wander off, and her mind thought about the male named Cider.. After Kheeta had asked her about whether or not she could show her how to climb up, on the jungle platforms, it seemed the little Mudi had a freakout. Or.. more like a freakout showdown. Kheeta's eyes stayed calm, as the canine before her scrambled and inched back, stuttering and hardly forming a sentence..... Kheeta cocked her head and looked at her. "Well... um.. uh... well... you see... Uh.. the trees...." Was this a secret place? Was this little hideaway the Mudi's territory? Kheeta looked at her. The frenzied canine seemed quite exasperated and didn't know what to do or say. But finally she seemed to give way. "Alright..." She said, and it seemed obvious this little canine did not want to show Kheeta anything about this place. But as Kheeta let the little Mudi continue on, Kerosene turned around and went into the foilage. Kheeta was dumbfounded, though only for an instant, until the little dog appeared, up, on one of the platforms. "This way! There are nets over here! You can jump into them- it's really a rush!" Kheeta got up and followed the way Kerosene had gone, only to discover a network of nets and paths to guide one's way to the platforms. Kheeta climbed onto the nets and followed her way to a platform next to the Mudi. "Huh. These are pretty interesting.." Kheeta said, shaky from balancing her weight. After jumping from platform to platform, making sure not to slip and fall, Kheeta decided to be blunt. "Kerosene. Is this area your territory?" Ideas formed in Kheeta's head, though she gave no hint away of her deviousness. She remained calm and a sly grin covered by a friendly smirk. "Im afraid to go higher." She lied. Kheeta was a fucking daredevil. But she would play the less menacing face for awhile, see where it got her. She cocked her head at Kerosene, waiting for the crazy canine's answer. ---------- ooc; Sorry it's somewhat suckish. No muse D:

"I actually met this really nice male.." This news was received with mild interest from the naive mudi dog. Oh, cool! so Kheeta had already made more friends. As the razorback female was the first Kerosene had interacted with since her awakening, Kero couldn't boast of other new friends. Much to her dismay. "That's neat! I plan on meeting more dogs soon... just gotta wait for more of them to wake up..." Her voice, much like the other female dog's, trailed off after that. Wake up. That... and move out from the beach. She surely hoped more dogs would wander out her way- she was, after all, hesitant to have some random canine wander in and snatch her canopy pathways from her while she was darting down to the beach for some socializing. That would be horrible. Perhaps she could.... And the little dogs mind wandered off with ways she could protect her new turf and still leave it alone. /Trap the place, add more markers, get a pack to protect it for me... of course, I would have to leave to go recruit new friends.... Hmm.
She waited as the female followed, and glanced back at her to check up on the other dogs movement through the paths with a little bit of concern. She didn't want this new friend to fall- that would be horrible! Kero's ears perked as Kheeta spoke, and she grinned a bit to hear the little comment. "Yeah. I found out you could jump on them by accident- I... sorta fell from the top and got caught by these." She didn't say it with a note of fear or fright in her voice at all- because it had been nothing of the sort. The type of canine to live in the moment, Kero had been ready to accept death if it meant she had gotten the last rush of falling from so high. It was lucky she had been caught- but either way, the little mudi dog wouldn't have had any regrets. She had almost said the words with a tangible twinge of glee- but only a little, as she didn't want to be thought of as a lunatic. Or... a legit lunatic. Ahem.
"Kerosene. Is this area your territory?" So... the other dog could recognize that she had claimed it? So... she had marked well enough? Staked it out well enough? She had never had to claim anything like that for herself... gangs in the streets always had borders already, that you weren't supposed to touch... so she had been nervous and scared of doing something wrong. But if this other dog could spot that.... did that mean she had done everything right? The little mudi dogs tail wagged slightly. "Yes, it's mine." Confidence radiated from the three simple words. Her voice was beyond proud- it was blazing with vanity and preening, self-gloating. She was obviously proud of the fact, as the mudi strutted along the pathway to the next platform, a peaceable smile on her face. She had done everything right~ The pathways were hers~
She tipped her head back as Kheeta said something about going higher. Afraid? Kero was littler than her- shouldn't bigger dogs have less fears? From the corner of her eyes, Kerosene looked the other canine up and down again. Well.... they could stay on the lower platforms. Despite how much she loved the tippity top of the canopy, she wasn't going to force a new friend to climb up there. Even if she wanted it really, really bad.
OOC: Sorry it took so long, I've been sick with several things, and a couple of new things I seem to have contracted. Dx

So. It was hers. Kheeta's ears twitched when she heard that. Then, after she thought about it. It struck her as funny. Quite funny. How could this little canine claim this whole place? She let out a giggle. Her eyes closed when she let out that small laugh. It was barely audible. But then, in Kheeta's falter, her paw slipped. And she plummeted. She fell, though she missed the few platforms under the one she had been on. She had only climbed a few up. But it was enough height to hurt. She hit the ground with a loud THUD. Her side had fell first, the impact hurt, and she couldn't get up. Her mind felt dreamy. She must have had her neck bent, where her muzzle was up and her head hit the ground. She thought about puppies and the color purple. Her body ached with pain and she lay still. Not totally conscious, nor unconscious. She floated somewhere in between. She knew there was pain. But she didn't feel it. And she knew she had fallen. But she did not know why. Her eyes closed, and opened once more. Finally her maw let out three words. In was in a hushed voice and it hurt to move her jaw to say it. "Kerosene. Help... me." She didn't know even who that was really. But when she felt the pain, she felt the name form and her body twitched with some sort of recognition. -------------------------- ooc; Im sorry it's short. And it's sucky. Things had been going so well. She had been leaping, soaring, and Kheeta had been doing the same. They had walked along the vine pathways- Kerosene at a cheery strut, Kheeta at whatever pace she had pleased- but somehow, the other dog had managed to slip, and though they were not very far up.... she seemed hurt. Oh no. This wouldn't do. Why... why did she fall? She went and hurt herself! Would... would Kheeta blame her? She had, after all, brought the dog up.... lead her on to the platforms...
Kero dashed as fast as she could down the path to the ground, slipping and sliding, twisting head over paws in an effort to get to her fallen new friend. Several tumbles and trip ups carried her that way, and she landed besides Kheeta with a less dramatic thud. Shaking it off in an instant, Kerosene hopped up and circled Kheeta, concerned. "Hey! Hey, are you all right?" She nudged gently at the limp body- er, Kheeta's body- as if trying to get the other dog to move. There was worry etched into every line of the little mudi dogs face. SHE FELL! She's hurt! What does one do in this situation?
Whining, the little dog nosed kheeta's side, unsure of what was needed from her. She snuffled helplessly around Kheeta's face, as if trying to wake the dog up from her trance of pain- even though she seemed to be, mostly, out of it by now. "HEY. HEY. If you die on me.... Just... STAY AWAKE! I don't know what to do..." She fretted aloud, a wild look in her brown eyes. "When dogs got hurt on the street... well.... the gangs didn't do much. If you fell behind, you were left behind... If you were injured... you became food for the crows... Oh... OH! What do I do?" She was babbling a mile a minute, all the while poking and prodding at the fallen canine, as if begging her to rise.
What the heck was she supposed to do in this situation? Kerosene was no healer, no hero.
OOC: No biggie. island and company have sucked my kero muse up as well. This is short, rambly, full of fluff, and not very good, but... she has no honest clue what to do, so. Sorryyy. lD

She heard her, faintly. But could not muster up enough energy to move. To even utter breathless words. Not only was she weak, but it seemed Kheeta's mind was drifting in between reality and on the very edge of hell. Or perhaps heaven? It was too hard to tell. All she could fathom was bright light and the swirling of her past, though transformed into snapshots of different times in her life. Pain could not be felt, and the touch of Kerosene's rooting nose was as if a feather had landed on her. However, the faint voice disturbed Kheeta's deep slumber, and it seemed the volume had been turned all the way up. "HEY. HEY. If you die on me.... Just... STAY AWAKE! I don't know what to do..." Though Kheeta's mind could not make out the words, her ears twitched and her body winced with pain. ". "When dogs got hurt on the street... well.... the gangs didn't do much. If you fell behind, you were left behind... If you were injured... you became food for the crows... Oh... OH! What do I do?" It struck Kheeta's mind funny. The irony that even in such a dire need of devastation the little dog was still just as talkative. The little canine kept poking her, each time Kheeta became more and more awake. Each time Kero touched Kheeta, her body erupted with pain, and it shot through her. Finally her eyes opened and a small yelp escaped her maw. Her body felt as if she had been beaten. At first, Kheeta had no idea where she was. And then it came back to her. Kerosene. The Platforms. Talking. "Oh.." Her voice let out. And she carefully lifted her head and looked around her. Then her eyes lay on Kerosene. And Kheeta cocked her head. "Did you do that..?" She said. Pausing momentarily. "Save me?" Her voice had softened. Kheeta was still dazed. She had a headache, a horrible thirst, and her body ached with pain. She looked up and realized she had fallen. She gently pushed herself up, wincing at the gruesome feel of pain. She limped around, getting her walk again and taking inventory in her bones and muscles. Surprisingly, it seemed, she had not broken anything. But her leg muscles burned with agony, aswell as her lungs and the killer headache she had. At least it was better then dancing with the devil. She hoped not to visit his home anytime soon. ---------- ooc; Sorry for the time it took!! <3 Hope you forgive me?
