Then the pace sped up and the wind pushed against his face and whistled past his ears. Eventually his paw steps became a rhythm--front right, front left, back right, back left-- his paws would beat against the ground in the same order. It was calming, soothing even, and it made everything else seem distant and far away. Then he heard another sound over the noise of his paws and the wind, and he slowed his steps. He could just barely hear the waves washing against the shore and he knew where he had to go. It was just one of those beachy kind of days. The sun was positioned perfectly in the center of the sky, warming the world with it’s searing hot rays of light. Canada was ready for the amazing feeling of the salty water cooling off his skin. So, he took of running, starting off fast, no longer caring about any sort of rhythm. And his feet carried him the water. Canada took a deep breath, the smell of the salty water filling his nose. With a smile splayed across his features, he darted towards the water and took a big leap. As his feet hit the water, drops flew up, spraying him in the face and the rest of the water. He tumbled forward, submerging his head under the water and letting it rush into his ears. He swam out a littler further into the water until his full body was under the water. Once he knew he was thoroughly soaked, he made his way to land. Shaking his body, his short fur stuck out in all different directions. To him, days like these were all that needed to remain happy. He only wished that there was someone he could share this magnificent day with. { words⁈ 306 [/scrolly] |
