I know you probably set the boards up the way you did, but one tiny suggestion, from just one fairly new member. :3
On the character creation. I don't know about anyone else, but I know when we have a lot of dogs on that board, knowing who is accepted and who is not at a single glance, will be hard. I think perhaps a sub-board for accepted characters would help with this, it might also help cut back on confusion with new members, and staff members. I know it tends to make things look cleaner and more organized if there is a sub-board of accepted characters, separate from those in progress, or pending.
