Thousands of years ago the land of Azzaria was united in peace. The people of Azzaria were one, not divided by race or region. The land was governed by a ruling body, and protected by a precious stone. The name of the stone has been lost in history, although it's importance has not been forgotten. The stone was believed to be mystical in origin, spreading peace and prosperity throughout the land.
No one ever considered what would happen if the stone left Azzaria. It was a thought that never occurred to them, not until it was too late. One of the Elves, Dracan of the Golden Oak, received a vision. This vision, a gift from the gods, foretold of a dark time that would descend upon Azzaria. The cause of the coming darkness was the mystical stone, and after many weeks of meditating, Dracan knew what he had to do. The stone needed to be hidden, taken from the people of Azzaria and hidden where no one would ever find it. Where it could not be used for darkness.
Dracan was approached by a woman who referred to herself only as a Protector, as someone who wanted to help him save Azzaria from the darkness. The Elf accepted her help willingly, and a plan was forged. The stone would be taken from it's resting place and given to the Protectors, the people of the strange woman. Unbeknown to Dracan and his companions, it was the Protector's who had sent the vision to Dracan. An ancient and powerful race, the Protectors were acting to keep balance in the world, and the Elf Dracan was just a tool.
One cold winter night Dracan and his companions executed their plan. Chaos erupted in the land of Azzaria when the stone was found to be missing. The races of Azzaria began to divide and the four regions were created. The Elves, the Imperials, the Celts and the Protectors were no longer at peace with one another. The disharmony would grow for years to come, and wars became a part of Azzaria's history.
The stone has become an item of myth to many, however, there are some who never gave up hope of finding it to gain power, restore peace or simply study it. So when a rumour begins to spread across Azzaria that a young Celtic boy has found the stone in the Mountains by Conloch, near the Stonehythe/Zazzelle border, all four of the Races react.
Could another war be about to start? There are people from each of the Races who have different reasons to want to get their hands on the stone; power, health and prosperity, money, knowledge.
How many innocent bystanders will be caught in their way as they hunt for the boy and the stone?
